Reading some websites, I came across this.
The last sentence says ""Drug testing is an invasion of privacy, but it's a necessary step to take and students just need to deal with it," he said"
Since when is an invasion of privacy a necessary step for anything but tyranny and oppression. How does that justify anything?
Mistakes happen - what happens when you get a false positive reading or a false negitive? How does that protect anyone. We really need to get over this paranoia over everything. Drugs - they are out there. Sex - people do it. Porn - it's there. Terrorists - they are there. We do not have to give up our rights and our diginaty just because some people feel uncomfortable about these things (or that others want to dictate what it is we can do.)
But then again who am I? We are supposed to be a free society. Why can’t we act that way?
Peace
