Post 4th blues

Well now, the fourth is over and I am kind of glad. It was great seeing everyone, it's just everyone is a lot of people. There were over 50 people at the Young family fourth. That is a lot of food. We got to sleep on the porch of the funeral home. It is like being outside without the bugs and the hard ground.

At Torch, there were 18 people in a 2 bedroom cottage. Ten of those people were under the age of 15.… That is a lot of kids!!! Don't get me wrong they are great kids. It's just a little overwhelming when you are used to NONE and go to TEN. Everything is touched, there are people standing in front of the television all the time, yelling, shoving and touching. I love my nieces and nephews.

This weekend I found out that I am an idiot. The first night at Torch, I filled up the air mattress and after we went to bed it instantly deflated. I refilled it and bingo 10 minutes later we were on the floor (the wind and rain storm didn'’t help much either). That was a very uncomfortable night. The next night I realized that there was a valve in the bottom of the bed that was not closed. Duh! Well, I closed the valve and filled up the bed. That was nice. No more sleeping on the ground (I never did find the rock that wanted to pierce my spine).
